Sinopsis

Los miedos de cinco jóvenes hermanos estoicos, abandonados por sus padres, se mezclan con los de su abuela esquizofrénica, quien ahora los cuida, difuminando y disolviendo gradualmente el límite entre la realidad y la imaginación.

The fears of five stoic young siblings abandoned by their parents mix with those of their schizophrenic grandmother who now looks after them, blurring and gradually dissolving the boundary between reality and imagination.

Su madre dice que los médicos tuvieron que usar fórceps cuando nació en 1983 en Uruapan, México. Es director de cine, guionista y editor, y tiene una licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación por el ITESO, una licenciatura en Cine por el CCC y una maestría en Cine por el EQZE. Después de haber pasado tanto tiempo estudiando cine, uno podría pensar que aprende lento, o quizás simplemente disfruta estar en la escuela. Sus cortometrajes se han estrenado en prestigiosos festivales, incluyendo la Cinéfondation de Cannes, El Cairo, San Sebastián y Róterdam. Ha recibido dos becas del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes y es egresado de Berlinale Talents. Le apasionan el ciclismo de ruta y las hamburguesas. 

 

His mother says the doctors had to use forceps when he was born back in 1983 in Uruapan, Mexico. He is a film director, screenwriter, and editor who holds a BA in Communication Sciences from ITESO, a BA in Filmmaking from CCC, and an MA in Filmmaking from EQZE. After spending so much time studying filmmaking, one might think he learns slowly—or perhaps he just enjoys being in school. His short films have premiered at prestigious festivals, including Cannes’ Cinéfondation, Cairo, San Sebastián, and Rotterdam. He has received two grants from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts and is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents. He loves road cycling and hamburgers.
