Sinopsis

En un futuro distópico donde todo está deforestado y contaminado, existe un pueblo donde vive Yatsi, una niña que junto a su abuelo sobreviven en medio de la Amazonía. Un día algo se quiebra en su abuelo y Yatsi tendrá que ir en búsqueda de un fruto misterioso que podría salvarlo. Ella hará un viaje a través de un río tóxico, pero en el camino se encontrará con seres fluviales que la persiguen. Yatsi tendrá que confiar en los símbolos de sus sueños para poder llegar a su destino. 

In a dystopian future where everything is deforested and polluted, there is a village where Yatsi lives, a girl who survives with her grandfather in the middle of the Amazon. One day something breaks in him and Yatsi will have to go in search of a mysterious fruit that could save him. She will journey through a toxic river, but on the way, she will meet river beings who pursue her. Yatsi will have to rely on the symbols of her dreams to reach her destination. 

ROUS CONDORI

Directora y animadora. Su trabajo gira en torno a sus orígenes de ascendencia quechua y cultura popular, mediante el cine participativo como una herramienta de autorepresentación en proyectos desarrollados en la Amazonía, Andes y Costas del Perú sobre temas socio ambientales, identidades originarias e igualdad de género. Estudió en Gobelins, L’École de l’image y fue seleccionada en residencias como Mendoza Film Lab, Bolivia Lab y La Resi de DocuPerú. Dirige «Yatsi y el espíritu del Río» y el documental “Kumbiera”. 

Director and entertainer. Her work revolves around her origins of Quechua ancestry and popular culture, through participatory cinema as a tool of self-representation in projects developed in the Amazon, Andes and Coasts of Peru on socio-environmental issues, native identities and gender equality. She studied at Gobelins, L’École de l’image and was selected for residencies such as Mendoza Film Lab, Bolivia Lab and La Resi de DocuPerú. He directs «Yatsi and the Spirit of the River» and the documentary “Kumbiera”. 

 

VALERIA SALINAS

Licenciada en artes visuales, máster de Animación y realización stop motion. Se desempeña como artista y animadora independiente en el ámbito de proyectos nacionales e internacionales de ilustración, animación y documental sobre temas de identidad y territorio. Co dirige el cortometraje animado en stop motion “Yatsi y el espíritu del Río” realizado en la Amazonía que se encuentra en etapa de post producción; viene trabajando en diversos proyectos de animación independientes y es directora del proyecto de gestión cultural Lab RAD Pukllay 2024. 

Graduate in visual arts, master’s degree in Animation and stop motion production. She works as an independent artist and animator in the field of national and international illustration, animation and documentary projects on issues of identity and territory. He co-directs the stop motion animated short film “Yatsi and the Spirit of the River” made in the Amazon, which is in the post-production stage; She has been working on various independent animation projects and is director of the cultural management project Lab RAD Pukllay 2024.
