Sinopsis

La actriz y psicóloga Antonia Giesen decide filmar un guion revelado por la voz dentro de la mente de uno de sus pacientes. Buscando colaboración del dúo de cineastas León y Cociña, crean un cruce entre teatro, ciencia ficción, animación y biopic fabulado; poblado de mundos paralelos y atormentado por la sombra de un escritor nazi chileno como figura demoníaca.

Actress and psychologist Antonia Giesen decides to film a script revealed by a voice within the mind of one of her patients. Seeking collaboration with the filmmaking duo León & Cociña, they craft a crossroads of theatre, science fiction, animation and fabulated biopic, populated by parallel worlds and haunted by the shadow of a Chilean Nazi writer as a demonic figure.

Cristóbal León y Joaquín Cociña, ambos nacidos en 1980 en Chile, han colaborado desde 2007 creando películas experimentales que reinterpretan el simbolismo religioso y los rituales mágicos de América Latina. Emplean diversas técnicas como la fotografía, la escultura y la performance. Sus películas en stop-motion yuxtaponen visuales inocentes con temas de religión, sexo y muerte. Galardonados y aclamados internacionalmente, su trabajo ha sido presentado en importantes espacios y festivales, incluyendo el Guggenheim y la Bienal de Venecia. Su primer largometraje, «La casa lobo» (2018), recibió múltiples premios. Su segundo largometraje, «Los hiperbóreos,» se estrenó en la Quincena de Realizadores de Cannes.

Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, both born in 1980 in Chile, have been collaborating since 2007. They have created experimental films that reinterpret the religious symbolism and magical rituals of Latin America. They employ various techniques such as photography, sculpture, and performance. Their stop-motion films juxtapose innocent visuals with themes of religion, sex, and death. Award-winning and internationally acclaimed, their work has been presented in major venues and festivals, including the Guggenheim and the Venice Biennale. Their first feature film, «La casa del lobo» (2018), received multiple awards. Their second feature film, «The Hyperboreans,» premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes.
