Toto, el último buscador de oro en Tierra del Fuego, tiene 62 años, su cuerpo está severamente dañado por su trabajo y se siente cercano a la muerte; pero no puede dejar de trabajar: no está calificado para la seguridad social. Su hijo vaquero Jorge diseña una máquina que debería traerles un futuro mejor.
Toto, the last gold prospector in Tierra del Fuego, is 62 years old. His body is severely damaged because of his work, and he feels close to death but he cannot stop working: he is not eligible for social security. His cowboy son Jorge designs a machine that should bring them a better future.

Fundador de la productora 55 Sur Media. Director y productor de cine documental, fotógrafo documental y máster en Patrimonio. Actualmente se desempeña como productor y director de los proyectos de cine, fotografía y gestión cultural que 55 Sur Media desarrolla con el objetivo de salvaguardar, poner en valor y difundir el patrimonio cultural, histórico y natural de Chile. Es Máster en Patrimonio Mundial y Proyectos Culturales para el Desarrollo por la Universidad de Barcelona, la Universidad de Turín y el ITCILO. “La fabulosa máquina de cosechar oro” es su ópera prima, realizada en coproducción con Juntos Films y estrenada en la Competencia Internacional Hot Docs 2024.
Founder of the production company 55 Sur Media. Director and producer of documentary films, documentary photographer, and master in Heritage. He currently works as a producer and director of film, photography, and cultural management projects that 55 Sur Media develops with the aim of safeguarding, valuing, and disseminating the cultural, historical, and natural heritage of Chile. He holds a Master’s in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development from the University of Barcelona, the University of Turin, and the ITCILO. «The Fabulous Gold Harvesting Machine » is his debut film, made in co-production with Juntos Films and premiered in the International Competition at Hot Docs 2024.
