Sinopsis

Basada en testimonios reales, esta película híbrida cuenta la historia de Tania, una adolescente forzada a ejercer la prostitución en las regiones mineras de oro de Perú. 

Based upon real testimonies, this hybrid film tells the story of Tania, a teenage girl forced into prostitution in the gold mining regions of Peru.

MARY JIMÉNEZ

Mary Jiménez, nacida en Perú, estudió arquitectura en Lima antes de realizar estudios de cine en la escuela de cine INSAS en Bélgica. Durante su carrera como cineasta, también ha enseñado cine en Bélgica, Cuba y Suiza. Escritora y directora desde hace más de 30 años, la obra de Mary incluye películas como “Du Verbe Aimer”, “La Position du Lion Couché”, “Le Dictionnaire selon Marcus” y “Héros sans Visage”, todas ellas seleccionadas en numerosos festivales de todo el mundo. 

Born in Peru, Mary Jiménez initially studied architecture in Lima before pursuing film studies at the INSAS film school in Belgium.During her career as a filmmaker she has also taught filmmaking in Belgium, Cuba and Switzerland. Being a writer and a director for more than 30 years, Mary’s work includes films like “Du Verbe Aimer”, “La Position du Lion Couché”, “Le Dictionnaire selon Marcus” and “Héros sans Visage”, all of which have been selected at numerous festivals worldwide. 

 

BÉNÉDICTE LIÉNARD

Bénédicte Liénard estudió dirección de cine en el Institut des Arts de Diffusion (en Louvain-La-Neuve). Su primer largometraje, “Une Part du Ciel”, se proyectó en la sección Un Certain Regard de Cannes, así como en los festivales de Toronto, San Sebastian y Nueva York. Continuó dirigiendo numerosos documentales impactantes, ampliamente proyectados tanto en festivales como en televisión. Ella ha enseñado dirección de cine en la Escuela de Cine Belga IAD durante varios años y es artista residente en la Universidad UCL (Louvain-La-Neuve).  

Bénédicte Liénard studied film direction at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (in Louvain– La-Neuve). Her first feature film “Une Part du Ciel” screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, as well as at the festivals of Toronto, San Sebastian and New York. She went on to direct numerous hard-hitting documentaries, widely screened both at festivals and on television. She’s been teaching film direction at the Belgian Film School IAD for several years and she is this year’s artist in residence at UCL University (Louvain-La- Neuve).
