Sinopsis

París, en un futuro cercano. Marc y Hans son dos ladrones que deben dinero a una intransigente mujer americana que les da sólo dos semanas para pagar. Planean robar y vender un nuevo antídoto para curar un virus parecido al del SIDA, que está matando a los que “practican el amor sin amor”, pero necesitan un cómplice. Reclutan a Alex, alias “lengua suelta”, un chico rebelde que acaba de romper su relación con su novia de 16 años de edad.
Paris, in the near future. Marc and Hans are two thieves who owe money to an intransigent American woman who gives them only two weeks to pay. They plan to steal and sell a new antidote to cure an AIDS-like virus, which is killing those who “practice love without love”, but they need an accomplice. They recruit Alex, aka “loose tongue”, a rebellious boy who has just broken up with his 16-year-old girlfriend.

Si hay una obra contemporánea furiosamente inventiva donde cualquier nueva ocurrencia desata pasiones, esa es la de Leos Carax. Autor de seis largometrajes desde mediados de los años 80, sólo seis siendo “Les Amants du Pont-Neuf” sin duda el más destacado, pero como tantos otros prodigios que han marcado la historia del cine, Leos Carax es una leyenda viva. Un cinéfilo atormentado, amante de la música y la literatura, que coquetea con el surrealismo, del que ha adoptado un espíritu provocativo y burlón, realiza extravagantes películas que constantemente reinventan las posibilidades de la ficción y la imagen en el cine. Ha trabajado con grandes actores y actrices. Entre ellos, están Denis Lavant, su alter ego, Mireille Perrier, Juliette Binoche, Michel Piccoli, Julie Delpy, Catherine Deneuve, Katerina Golubeva, Guillaume Depardieu, Kylie Minogue, Eva Mendes, Edith Scob… Su último largometraje, “Annette”, un melodrama pop-rock protagonizado por Marion Cotillard y Adam Driver, recibió el premio a la Mejor Dirección en el Festival de Cannes, tres premios Lumière y cinco César, incluido el de Mejor Dirección, tras haber prendido las pantallas grandes en llamas con su pasión destructiva.

A haunted cinephile, lover of music and literature, flirting with surrealism, from which he has adopted a sense of provocation and derision, he makes flamboyant films that constantly reinvent the possibilities of fiction and image in cinema. He has worked with great actors and actresses, Denis Lavant, his alter ego, Mireille Perrier, Juliette Binoche, Michel Piccoli, Julie Delpy, Catherine Deneuve, Katerina Golubeva, Guillaume Depardieu, Kylie Minogue, Eva Mendes, Edith Scob…His last feature film, “Annette”, a pop-rock melodrama starring Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver, received the prize for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival, three Lumière awards and five Césars, including the one for Best Director, after having set the big screens ablaze with his destructive passion.
