Sinopsis

Giovanni, reconocido cineasta italiano, está a punto de rodar su nueva película. Pero entre su pareja en crisis, su productor francés al borde de la quiebra y su hija que lo abandona, todo parece estar en su contra. Siempre en la cuerda floja, Giovanni tendrá que replantearse su forma de hacer las cosas si quiere llevar todo su pequeño mundo hacia un futuro brillante.

Giovanni, a renowned Italian filmmaker, is about to start shooting a political film. But between his marriage in crisis, his co-producer on the verge of bankruptcy and the rapidly changing film industry, everything seems to be working against him! Always on the edge, Giovanni will have to rethink his way of doing things if he wants to lead his little world towards a bright tomorrow.

Nanni Moretti debutó en 1969 en el campeonato de waterpolo Serie A y jugó en la selección nacional juvenil en 1970. Realizó sus primeros cortometrajes en 1973 y su primer largometraje en 1976, “Je suis un autarkique”, rodado en Super 8 y luego inflados en 16 mm y distribuidos en cines. Nanni Moretti made his debut in 1969 in the Serie A water polo championship and played for the youth national team in 1970. He made his first short films in 1973 and his first feature film in 1976, “Je suis un autarkique”, shot on Super 8 and then inflated on 16 mm and distributed in theaters. They are followed by “Ecce Bombo” (1978), “Sogni d’oro” (1981), Bianca (1984), “La messe est finie” (1985) Silver Bear in Berlin, “Palombella rossa” (1989), “Diario ” (1993) Stage in Cannes (1994), “Aprile” (1998), “The Son’s Room” (2001), Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, “Le Caïman” (2006) and “Habemus Papam” (2011 ).

He started out as an actor in “Padre padrone” (1977) by the Taviani brothers. Also, he interpreted “El toallero” (1991) by D. Luchetti, “La segunda vez” (1995) by M. With Sacher Film, which he founded in 1986 with Angelo Barbagallo, he produced his own films but also the early works of Carlo Mazzacurati, Daniele Luchetti, Mimmo Calopresti and Valia Santella. Since 1991, he has directed and programmed the Nuovo Sacher room in Rome. In 1998, he founded Sacher Distribuzione to help arthouse films find distribution. In 2007 and 2008, he chaired the Turin Festival.
