Sinopsis

Emilia, de 17 años, llega a un pueblo religioso en la frontera entre Argentina y Brasil. Ella está buscando a su hermano perdido hace mucho tiempo, con quien tiene asuntos oscuros e inconclusos. Se queda en la selva en el hostal de su extraña tía Inés donde, según los rumores, una peligrosa bestia apareció hace una semana. Esta bestia, afirma la gente, es el espíritu de un hombre malvado que toma la forma de diferentes animales. Entre realidad y mitología, humano y animal, y culpa y sexualidad, Emilia buscará confrontar su pasado. 

Emilia, 17, arrives in a religious town on the border between Argentina and Brazil. She is looking for her long-lost brother, with whom  she has obscure, unfinished business. She stays in the jungle at her weird aunt Inés’s hostel where, according to rumors,  a dangerous beast appeared a week ago. This  beast, people claim, is the spirit of an evil man  that takes the shape of different animals. Between reality and mythology, human and animal,  and guilt and sexuality, Emilia will seek to confront her past 

Directora de cine, guionista y colorista. Escribió y dirigió No hay bestias (2015) estrenado en Cartagena, La prima sueca (2017) estrenado en Berlín y Monstruo Dios (2019) en la Competencia Oficial de Cortometrajes y obtuvo la Mención Especial del Jurado en Cannes. Para la Iniciativa Artística Rolex Mentor and Protégé, Lin Manuel Miranda es su mentor. Participó en la Talent Script Station de la Berlinale con Matar a la bestia (2021), su largometraje. 

Film director, screenwriter and colorist. Wrote and directed The cry of the oxen (2015) premiered in Cartagena, The Swedish cousin (2017) premiered in Berlin and Monster God (2019) at the Official Shortfilm Competition and won the Special Mention of the Jury in Cannes. She is also Lin Manuel Miranda’s protégé for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative. Participated in the Talent Script Station at the Berlinale with To kill the beast (2021), her feature film.
