Sinopsis

Prueba de fondo explora la cotidianidad de un grupo de maratonistas de la Sierra Central del Perú que buscan romper algo más que sus marcas. Alrededor de la práctica del atletismo, en los Andes se tejen muchas historias de superación. Una de ellas es la de Inés Melchor, multicampeona panamericana, que en los dos últimos años ha conocido de cerca la inesperada derrota y la necesidad de rearmarse. A través de sus vivencias, recorriendo Huancayo, Lima, Río y Santiago de Chile, conocemos los retos que implica ser un deportista de élite en el Perú.

The ultimate race explores the daily routine of a group of marathon runners from the central highlands of Peru who seek to break more than their marks. One of them is Inés Melchor, a Peruvian multichampion. Through their experiences, traveling through Huancayo, Lima, Rio and Santiago de Chile, we acknowledge the challenges involved in being an elite athlete in Peru. At her best moment, Inés´s career is interrupted by an injury, and frustrates her Olympic aspirations. She had two paths: to surrender or to retake the path. As we see Inés regain strength, we discover the stories of many and different runners of Perú.

Actualmente cursa la Maestría de Estudios Culturales en la Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR). Fue video reportero en diversos medios, redactor del suplemento cultural Luces del diario El Comercio (Perú). Actualmente escribe artículos para El Comercio y revistas como Soho, Semana Económica y Cosas.

Communications professional with a special mention in journalism, from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), and studies in Latin American literature in the PUCP. He is currently studying the Master of Cultural Studies at the National University of Rosario (UNR). He was a video reporter for different media, writer in the cultural magazine from El Comercio (Peru), Perú´s biggest diary. He currently writes articles for «El Comercio» and magazines like «Soho», «Economic Week» and «Cosas».

 

Christian Acuña

Comunicador audiovisual especializado en Dirección, Sonido y Musicalización, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). Cuenta con estudios musicales (teoría musical, guitarra), grabación y mezcla Surround para cine (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Fue video reportero en Reuters TV y ha hecho sonido directo en diversos cortometrajes y películas. Es director creativo de las casas realizadoras La Chicharra y Retrovisor Comunicaciones.

Communications professional with a special mention in visual arts, specializing in direction, sound and Musicalization, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).  He has musical studies (musical theory, guitar), recording and surround mix for cinema (Buenos Aires, Argentina). He was a video reporter on Reuters TV and has made direct sound in various short films and movies. He is the creative director of the Chicharra and Retrovisor, Production Company
